The objective is to give newcomers to multi-stage events (NOT newcomers to MTB) the opportunity to enjoy a weekend of scenic, fun and non-competitive riding. However, make sure that you are fit enough. Although the distances for both the Long and Short route are relatively short, it can be surprisingly tough. The routes are designed to accommodate riders of all levels of fitness. The route includes jeep track, flowing single tracks. There are sections which have never been included in a mountain bike event before. Be prepared to be physically and mentally overwhelmed by the breathless beauty of this virgin territory. The single tracks at Paardenberg are part of Country Bike Tours and trails, designed by the owner Andries de Villiers. Please note that most of the route is not accessible to public other than for the event purposes.
The Stanford Classic is a non-competitive weekend MTB stage event
