Fuse and Ruze will change the trail riding experience by increasing traction, control, and fun on every ride.
Specialized Bicycle Components unveils the latest innovation in trail riding, introducing the Fuse and Ruze hardtail mountain bikes featuring 6Fattie tires. The Specialized team continuously looks for ways to give riders the best possible experience out on the trail. Sometimes an idea seems so simple, you can’t believe you hadn’t tried it before. 6Fattie tires take a wide 650b wheel and wrap all-new 650×3.0″ Ground Control and Purgatory tires around them. The result is more traction and flotation for the rider. To create the ultimate experience, the team looked at the riding experience for these all-new tires and developed a fresh platform to enjoy them with.
The Fuse and Ruze are all-new men’s and women’s trail hardtails specifically designed to accept 6Fattie tires, providing a slacker trail geometry and increased fork travel. The frames are made from M4 alloy with smooth welds, fully butted tubing, internal cable routing, 148mm dropouts, and a patented Diamond Stay design that allows for incredibly short 430mm chainstays.
6Fattie tires have been developed for increased traction and flotation, resulting in more control and speed for the rider. With 6Fattie tires, riders can run lower air pressures, resulting in a 69% increase in tire contact patch. Additionally, the tire volume has been increased by 56%, absorbing bumps with less feedback to the rider and without slowing down the rider.
What does this all mean? Plainly and simply, these revolutionary new hardtails and tires will change the way we ride.
