Cycle Tour MTB Challenge Moves to Simonsberg

The Cape Argus Pick n Pay Mountain Bike Challenge 2014 will see some very exciting changes. In keeping with the need to create a premier mountain biking experience we are moving to a new venue in the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy.  The event will see participants riding though well-known estates including Muratie, Delheim, Uitkyk, Warwick, Quoin Rock, Knorhoek and of course our host venue Le Bonheur.

An exciting feature of the 2014 event is the inclusion of some recently cut, easy flowing singletrack. To improve the riding experience for all competitors, entries to this year’s event will be limited to ensure that all participants enjoy a quality day of mountain biking. The gaps between start groups will be increased to allow for better flow on the routes and singletrack located in the latter half of the events.

Riders can choose to take part in the more family orientated Saturday routes (14km and 22km), the more strenuous Sunday routes (38km and 55km) or both days! Riders who complete the 55km Cape Argus Pick n Pay MTB Challenge AND the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour will qualify for a special commemorative medal which is posted out after the Cycle Tour.
