Entries for the Pietermaritzburg MTB Festival at Cascades MTB Park from 3 – 5 April 2015, close at midnight tonight (Tuesday 31 March).
The aim of the event is to incorporate elements that allow the South African mountain bike community to participate in top quality competitions. Spectators will be able to watch or compete in recreational events (50km Classic, 20km Family Ride, 10km Fun ride) and also races that will see some of the top national and international riders compete, such as the XCO Elite Men and Women’s events carrying a UCI HC Category rating.
The adrenalin adventure seekers have the second round of the Stihl SA DHI Cup Series to take part in, as well as the Enduro race on the sublime Cascades trails.
Also included in the mix, is a cross-country race for the Masters’ categories, the Development Race Day Series finale and the Spur KZN Schools MTB Series races for the youngsters.
