The Hollard JUMA taking place on the 6th September 2015 has been cancelled due to the weather conditions causing a concern for safety.
Mark Castel, Event Organiser, expands: “We are sorry to announce that the Hollard JURA and JUMA will no longer be taking place this weekend due to dangerous conditions caused by weather damage to course infrastructure. Despite the huge efforts made to repair damage caused by Thursday night’s storm, we have been unable to ensure that the courses are sufficiently safe.
While we know that trail runners and mountain bikers, and Joburgers in general, aren’t sissies, we really don’t want to put anyone in danger.
We threw everything at the problem and have waited until the last minute to make this sad decision because we know how much you were looking forward to getting down ‘n dirty in Jozi.
We are now exploring potential alternative dates and will let you know as soon as a decision has been made.”
