Pedal Power Association is pleased to welcome Neil Robinson as our new Chief Executive Officer from the 1st of February 2022.  Neil’s key mandate will be to, as per the strategic intent described at the AGM in 2021, focus on the broader aspects of enabling cycling to serve the interests of all our citizens.

Neil’s passions include:

– Creating opportunities that help address the inequality that is so prevalent;

– Cape Town and South Africa; and

– Sport and all the emotions that goes with that (euphoria, people connection and heartache.

Whilst Neil is keen to take on the challenge of meeting PPA’s broader mandate PPA’s to have cycling recognized both as a means of transport and as a sport he remains very aware of the history of PPA and the interests and values of our members.

We wish Neil well in his new position and look forward to growing PPA and increasing the awareness of cycling as a way of life for its health benefits, as an enjoyable sport and the importance of making safe commuting with the necessary infrastructure, as a way of life for many South Africans and thus help:

“Cycling to become recognized, acceptable, popular and accessible to all as a mode of transport and recreation.”
