One of South Africa’s most internationally renowned artists Richard Scott has produced a series of mountain biking inspired artworks in association with the ABSA Cape Epic. Scott’s style is instantly recognisable with his use of bold textured colours and simple Naive/POP images.
Scott’s Cape Epic series feature scenes inspired by the various regions the 2015 race will visit like Table Mountain, Elgin, Wellington and Meerendal. The 5, once off original, paintings are done with Impasto and Acrylic on 120cm by 90cm Canvas and are for sale, with prices available on request from www.richardscott.com.
For those of you without a small fortune to invest in art (so all of us at Full Sus and we’re guessing most of you) will be more interested in the series of prints that Scott has produced from the original paintings. The prints are also avalible from www.richardscott.com for R14 000 each, with 25% going to local charities. The prints are done on A1 sized (83cm by 60cm) Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and supplied un-framed.
