The Cape’s only 24 hour mountain bike relay is still a favourite!

Dirtopia has organized fifteen 24 Hour MTB events since 2003 and excitement is building for this camping event in the first weekend of February.  Only pre-entries are taken and this year should be the biggest one to date!

 

EVENT: 24 Hours of Oak Valley – a Mountain Bike team relay

DATES: Saturday 1 February (12h00) – Sunday 2 February (12h00)

VENUE: Oak valley Estate, Elgin Valley, Grabouw, Western Cape

FORMAT: Ride as many 10km laps as you want or can over 24 hours.  The trail will keep participants busy with singletrack & jeeptrack sections.

COST: From R240, depending on category and date of entry.

Camping & support crew included.  All entries close on Monday, 27 January

School teams are welcome too!

 

ENTRY DETAILS: Teams of 4 or fun teams of 5 to 8 riders.  Or ride it solo! 

3 Hours of Oak Valley:  On Sunday, 2nd February from 09h00 riders can enter to ride the last 3hours with the 24 hour participants. No other riders on the 24 hour course during other times of the event. 3 Hour participants can enter on the day R110 for Amarider members (incl. a trail tag), R120 for non members plus R30 for temporary Trail Tag. Registration opens from 07h30. Same rules apply as for 24 Hour.

 Some riders will use the event as training, some will race to win and other will just be there for chilling with their friends.  What a great outdoor way to start the year!
