Two down one to go in the Gauteng XCE Series

This past Sunday was Round Two of the Inter School Eliminator Series for Gauteng. One Movement had a good turnout with 85 riders from 22 schools, spread right across the province and even stretching into the North West Province competing for podium honours. The level of riding in Gauteng has been by far the highest of the three provinces!

Northern Farm pulled out all the stops in creating a fantastic course, and it was probably the best course we have had so far in the whole series! The course, which was all built from scratch, really tested the riders’ abilities with tight hairpin corners, fast overtaking straights, a few man made obstacles especially for this event and a climb at the end – to test who still had the legs for the sprint finish. There was a great vibe at the race as the course was right next to the entrance to the trails and the parking, so many weekend riders came past to watch the racing after they had finished their rides.

The third and final round for Gauteng as well as the whole series is this Sunday at King David High School in Linksfield, once again One Movement have already received lots of entries for the event which holds a few surprises for the kids with a nasty final climb as well as a stair section to contend with to test their bike skills.
